The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.LinkedIn is seeking a finance professional capable of working in a fast-paced environment with matrix reporting relationships and a combination of delivering service through external vendors and an internal finance organization staffed in other geographies. The candidate should have experience in cross functional finance projects /initiatives.The desired individual should have a proven track record of working functionally across all levels of the organization. Good knowledge of India GAAP requirements, accounting processes and technical experience combined with interpersonal skills are required. Domain experience in various areas of Accounting and Finance such as global processes including Global Accounting and Reporting (GAR), Hire to Retire, Procure to Pay and Order to Cash is desired. The candidate should have experience working with multiple key stakeholders locally as well as at the regional and global HQs to ensure proper communication, resourcing and support.Key Responsibilities:Partner with the regional GL/GAR team for monthly accounting close process which includes ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with the company’s policies, US GAAP and India INDAS GAAP are delivered on time to the Corporate Financial Reporting team. Partner with the regional and/or global GL/GAR teams to ensure that all transactions related to the India entities are properly accounted for and booked. Review financials of India entities with the regional and/or global Controllership teams with adequate analysis and substantive support. Engage with key business partners including the regional and global Controllership teams, Compliance, Strategic Sourcing, Tax, Treasury, internal and external auditors to ensure smooth accounting support for the business activities. Work with the regional/global Technical Accounting teams to address any complex financial reporting issues as they arise and providing input into the application of the technical accounting rules in accordance with India INDAS GAAP. Work with the regional/global controllership teams to ensure completion of the statutory audit and filing of LinkedIn India entities. Able to work and communicate with external vendors or regulatory bodies, such as auditors, banks, tax authorities, government ministries, legal counsels, etc. Provide support in defining, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures/processes and policies to ensure the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data for India. Provide policy guidance on accounting issues and their consistent application in practice. Maintain strong internal controls and processes in reporting accounting and financial data to the local government agencies and other regulatory bodies in India. Work with local, regional and global cross functional teams to ensure compliance in Accounting, Payroll, Tax matters in accordance with local India INDAS GAAP statutory requirements and regulations. Will be appointed as Authorized Signer of LinkedIn India entities and fulfill responsibilities as required in accordance with India Companies Act. Provide oversight to Corporate Governance matters in India and participate in local corporate committees/councils as required. Work with various functional partners to provide any adhoc management reports, analysis or information requested to support the India Country Manager and local operations if needed. Provide local site leadership support to the India Controllership team together with the Business Leader in India. QualificationsBasic Qualifications:8+ years of relevant working experience with global best practices in accounting and finance, including some experience with business process transformation.Working knowledge of local compliance requirements in India, such as statutory filings, foreign exchange regulations, statistical returns, tax-related compliance, business licenses, etc. Subject matter experience with global best practices in finance and accounting business process multinationals operating in India and supporting centralized shared services and outsourced service providers. Bachelor degree or above in Accounting plus CPA / CA / ACCA qualification. Technical knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and India INDAS GAAP. Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Experience in business partnership, change management and achieving results under deadline. Preferred Qualifications:Consulting or audit background preferred. Experience in IT industry or working with US multi-national corporations (MNC) is a plus. Knowledge of Oracle or any ERP system advantageous. Ability to work well with others, a team player and good collaborative skills. Problem-solving skills and analysis, especially for troubleshooting problems and addressing challenges and attention to details. A self-starter and ability to perform with minimal supervision.
