Job Title: Senior Financial AccountantDepartment: Finance & AccountingReports to: Finance Manager / Financial ControllerLocation: Ho Chi MinhI. Job PurposeThe Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing accounts payable and receivable processes, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring effective credit control. This role plays a key part in maintaining the company’s financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency.II. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards and company policies.Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audit completion.Maintain compliance with statutory reporting and taxation requirements.Continuously improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor reconciliation.Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments in accordance with internal control and cash flow management policies.Review expense claims, purchase orders, and payment requests for compliance.Maintain good relationships with suppliers and resolve payment discrepancies or issues promptly.Analyze financial data to provide insights on company performance, cost management, and profitability.Support budgeting and forecasting processes.Provide financial models and scenario analysis to support management decision-making.Identify financial risks and opportunities, recommending appropriate corrective actions.Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables.Assess and manage customer credit limits and payment terms to minimize credit risk.Prepare AR aging reports and collection forecasts.Coordinate with the sales and commercial teams to resolve billing or collection disputes.Implement and maintain effective credit control policies and procedures.III. Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting, with strong exposure to financial reporting and analysis.Solid knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial controls.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and MS Excel.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Fluent in English (both written and spoken).IV.
