Senior Financial Analyst

Purpose of PositionAwin’s Financial Analytics team sits at the intersection of finance, data and commercial decision-making and is fundamental to shaping the company’s financial future and strategic direction through expert data analysis and financial modelling. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to take us to the next level, acting as a Product Owner for the company’s suite of financial reporting, KPIs and modelling. Technical proficiency in data, a background in finance, and a commercial mindset are critical for this role. But more than that we need someone who can tell a story with data, who understands what business leaders need to make decisions and has the courage to innovate.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and maintain the squad’s financial reporting and modelling including sales, revenue, opex, personnel, subscription metrics such as ARR and CLV, new business and churnAct as the “first developer”, setting standards, coaching other team members and ensuring the highest quality of deliverablesDesign and implement dashboards, reports and models that support financial planning, forecasting, and reportingCollaborate closely with other squads across Data Engineering to ingest and model necessary dataManage the squad backlog: refine requirements, prioritize user stories, ensure clarity and alignment with stakeholdersLead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectivesServe as the first point of contact for business stakeholders to capture operational requirements and translate them into development tasksSupport Manager in vision / strategy, roadmap planning and leading innovation such as the incorporation of new tools or methods such as AI / MLSkills & ExpertiseAt least five years in Financial or Business AnalyticsProduct Ownership / Squad Leadership experience and knowledge of Accounting / FinanceAnalytical, pro-active and inquisitive, with a proven ability to take ownership and generate valuable new ideas.
