Senior Financial Analyst

Overview:Our client within the oil & gas industry is seeking a strong Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing team. In this role, as a Senior Financial Analyst, you will assist our client with daily accounting operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate general ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, sales tax compliance and filings, and other related duties.Responsibilities:Execute monthly accounting close procedures and assist with closing of the booksAssist in the preparation of the monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash FlowsStrategic business partner who leverages relationships with Senior Level Operational Leads to drive financial planningPost monthly, quarterly, and annual accrualsPrepare Balance Sheet account reconciliationsProvide audit support as neededLeads robust business planning through accurate budgeting/forecastingPerforming monthly analytics to explain actual vs. projected expensesResponsible for financial plans to understand the revenue and cost drivers of a businessSummarise and contextualise financial resultsIdentify & lead process improvementAd-hoc analyses in support of the Controller and CFOSkills and experiences:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related disciplineCPA strongly preferred5+ years of progressive accounting & finance experienceHighly proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel using pivot tables and v-lookupsExperience using ERP software – SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics suitePersonal attributes:Team player with a positive “can-do” attitudeAbility to work autonomously with little directionAbility to upward manage hiring manager overseeing project deliveryStrong interpersonal and relationship building skillsWHY IMAGINE?Imagine’s accounting & finance team is made up of senior-level industry veterans who are experienced in working in industry and public accounting.
