Senior Financial Analyst

Theta Software is hiring a high-agency Senior Financial Analyst to help scale its platform for AI model training and evaluation. This role blends deep financial modeling with operational execution. You'll build complex Excel models, lead validation workflows, and manage domain experts. It's a fast-moving environment with direct access to leadership and real growth opportunities.This is not a traditional finance position, we’re looking for someone who thrives in unstructured environments, can switch between strategy and execution, and is excited to build high-quality financial content that trains next-generation AI models.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and optimize advanced financial models across domains including corporate finance, private equity, and investment bankingDesign and manage workflows for model validation, data cleaning, and reportingReview and refine financial tools and exercises created by internal teams and collaboratorsCreate and test real-world financial problem sets used in training AI systemsProvide hands-on support ensuring the quality, accuracy, and clarity of financial deliverablesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve content and streamline operationsRequirements2+ years in finance, preferably investment banking, private equity, or corporate financeStrong Excel modeling skills (scenario analysis, complex formulas, data management)Experience with high-complexity or large-scale financial analysisStrong understanding of financial statements and accounting principlesHigh attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and analytical thinkingSelf-starter who operates well in a startup environmentFluent English (C1 or C2) written and verbal communication must be strongCandidates with small-business bookkeeping backgrounds will not be consideredPreferred QualificationsDegree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldCFA, CPA, or similar certificationsExperience mentoring or managing junior analystsExposure to data visualization or modeling automation toolsCompensation & LogisticsFull-time remote role based in LATAMFlexible work hours, but must overlap with U.S. business hoursOpportunity to grow into a leadership role in a scaling teamSuccess Indicators (First 3–6 Months)Deliver 3–5 polished financial models across multiple domainsLead 2–3 end-to-end financial content workflows with minimal oversightImprove or redesign existing modeling frameworks for operational useConsistently meet internal quality benchmarks for content and executionCompany OverviewTheta Software builds infrastructure for the world’s top AI labs.
