Imagine what we’ll build together.About The Finance TeamThe Thumbtack Finance team’s mission is to be a strategic finance partner to the business to enable better business decisions that are supported by data while building a world class finance function and to do it all with integrity.About The RoleThe Senior Financial Analyst will partner with various leaders at Thumbtack to help manage and grow the business. The company is growing at a rapid pace and you will play an important role providing thought partnership and decision support to many new initiatives. This role reports to the Finance Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).What You’ll DoDrive the monthly, annual forecasts and budgets for all opex spend, highlighting insightful variance analysis and implications to forecastForecast accurately, not only aligning on assumptions with stakeholders, but understanding what, where, and why we spendEvaluate trade offs and financial sensitivities leading to better decision making and scenario planningProvide front line support for ad hoc financial analysis requests and inquiries, presenting and visualizing data and insightsDevelop efficiency metrics to help inform growth and set financial contextEstablish and maintain trusting relationships with all key stakeholdersReconcile HC for organization Partner closely with business partners to understand their needs and develop effective and strategic cost management solutionsSupport Sales team to ensure accuracy and alignment of commissionsIn order to be successful, you must bringBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field6+ years of relevant financial analysis work experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or management consultingStrong financial modeling and analytical skills, using key tools within Excel and G-SuiteAdopts a constant improvement mindset and applies towards making processes & procedures more efficientStrong understanding of/ exposure to US GAAP or IFRSExcellent problem solving and analytical skills Proven ability to collaborate cross functionallyExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across the organizationThumbtack embraces diversity.
