Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst, Operating Expenses for a 9-month contract opportunity.Reporting to the Director, Operational Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing key internal stakeholders with value-added, operational performance insights and expense analysis to assist in their decision-making process for managing the day-to-day and long-term business needs.The analytical support provided by this role enables Senior Leaders within the business to understand the impact of their decisions. Articulating and effectively communicating business performance insights and impacts to the business in written and presentation format is a critical part of the role. This role is responsible for identifying any potential problems/ risk areas and recommendations as well as opportunities that require business action.About YouPrepare and analyze monthly expense, including the development of expanded standardized expense reporting across all brands.Liaise with senior leaders and prepare monthly headcount and staff cost report, as well as updating forecast models to support resource planningPrepare and analyze all expense related management reporting (MBR, QBR) and budget/forecast reportingPartner with cost center leaders during annual business planning cycle and quarterly forecast cycles to develop operating expense budget/forecast and ensure complete and accurate upload to Finance systemsPartner with senior leaders and provide data-driven insights to support expense optimization initiativesPartner with Finance to ensure cost centers, general ledger accounts and allocations reflect current business practicesReviewing existing processes, systems, data and reporting to make recommendations for key improvements and lead the change initiativeProviding support and/or leading ad hoc projectsPreparing ad-hoc analysis and reports on a timely manner to all queries from stakeholders, as required About the OpportunityUniversity degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or related programCPA designated5+ years of relevant, full-time experience in expense or financial management reporting and operational performance analysis.Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint knowledge is required. Tableau skills would be an assetProven record of analytical expertise and excellent attention to detailSuperior written and verbal communication/presentation skills and ability to interact with senior executives and other cross divisional leaders in the organization. Experience with communicating / presenting to senior executives would be an assetKnowledge and experience with the business would be an assetAbility to work in a team or independently with moderate supervisionSelf-motivated and consistently demonstrates an ability to take initiative on any issueHow to ApplyPlease follow the instructions to submit your resume.
