For one of our clients, we are recruiting a Senior Financial Controller for Central or West Africa. Please note that this role is onsite in plantations in remote areas in Central or West Africa.Job description We are recruiting a Senior Financial Controller to strengthen our finance team.Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and improving control, reporting and analysis practices, and assisting the Finance Director with the following tasks:Supervision of closingsEditing periodic reports for head officeMonitoring production costsTransverse analysis: building and monitoring new reportsCash management: forecasting requirements and managing financingManaging fixed assets, stocks and third-party accountsDrawing up budgets/forecasts and analysing variancesPayroll supervisionManagement of internal and external auditsImplementation and improvement of management proceduresManaging tax filesActing as interim CFO (2 months/year)Assisting the Finance Director with any other mattersDepending on the controller's ability to take on responsibility, in the medium term he/she may be offered the opportunity to move up to the position of Finance Director.ProfileDegree (MASTER level) in Applied Economics, Management, Finance or equivalentMinimum 7-8 years of experience in Management Control, Audit or ConsultingExperience of expatriation in Africa, ideally on an isolated site/living basePotential to develop into a Finance Director in the long termProficiency in IT tools (MS Office) and good knowledge of accounting management applications and ERP systems.English fluent, French conversational ideallyDesired qualities Enthusiasm and curiosityThoroughness, autonomy, insight and proactivityCommunication skills, sociability, team playerLeadership skillsAbility to adapt, particularly to living conditions in an isolated environmentOperational skillsWe are offeringA position based in Central or West AfricaA permanent contract with an expatriate salary package tailored to your skills and experience2 months' holiday per yearA challenge in an exciting and unconventional environmentProgressive responsibility leading to development opportunities within the Group
