About the RoleSnowWorld Group — Europe’s leading operator of indoor ski resorts and leisure destinations — is a rapidly growing organization with 10 locations across 4 countries.The company is seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Controller to strengthen its finance organization within a dynamic international environment. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, delivering insightful analyses, and continuously improving financial processes and controls across the group.You will collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a key role in coordinating and enhancing the planning and control cycle. You will lead a team of 2 regional financial controllers and you will play a key role in the collaboration between local finance teams and the group’s headquarters, ensuring alignment and consistency throughout the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & AnalysisEnsure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement);Ensure and co-analyse financial results, explain variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management;Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, advising management on corrective and strategic actions;Support the integration of new business activities and entities within the group structure.Planning & ControlCoordinate budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring adherence to timelines and group standardsPromote consistency, transparency, and quality in financial reporting across all entitiesLead and continuously improve month-end and year-end closing processes in collaboration with local teamsContribute to the ongoing development of robust planning and control frameworksProcess Improvement & Internal ControlDrive enhancements in financial processes, systems, and reporting tools to increase efficiency and reliabilityEnsure full compliance with internal policies, governance frameworks, and external regulatory requirementsDevelop internal management reports to support strategic and operational decision-makingLeadership & CollaborationLead, coach and empower regional financial controllers to strengthen overall team capabilityCollaborate effectively with the CFO, local finance teams, and cross-functional departmentsFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance organizationCandidate ProfileBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business EconomicsMinimum of 10 years’ experience in financial controlling or related roles, preferably within an international group environmentProven expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and process optimizationStrong strategic insight combined with a hands-on, results-oriented approachProficient in ERP systems, consolidation and reporting tools, and advanced Excel skillsSound knowledge of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS (preferred)Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skillsFluent in English and Dutch; proficiency in German or French is considered an advantageWhy join SnowWorld Group?High Level of Responsibility: Straight from the start you will shape the business development of the company.Speed of Execution: The fast-paced environment of SnowWorld does not come with red tape.
