Please read more about Finnish sites, innovative work, and collaborative colleagues at https://jobs.thermofisher.com/global/en/finland.How will you make an impact?We are looking for a Senior Food Safety Specialist.You will be part of the molecular food protection team responsible for crafting and developing new molecular diagnostic products to complement the current microbiology product range.We are seeking a candidate who is proactive, hard-working, and passionate about achieving results. You enjoy working with high technology products and driving multiple initiatives at the same time. You want to develop yourself and the way of working. We offer motivating tasks in an innovative and international working environment.What will you do?Lead technical aspects of new product development projects. Plan and implement molecular assay development experiments, interpret complex datasets, and make technical decisions. Mitigate risks impacting project timelines. Write and review product IFUs and technical documents. Support existing product portfolio through workflow optimization. Implement new technologies in the food safety lab.Conduct competitor benchmarking and post-market surveillance studies. Act as a subject matter expert in molecular product development and monitor scientific industry trends to anticipate product needs. Represent the business at external scientific meetings and provide product training to internal and external customers.Help establish and implement R&D strategies. Employ strong communication skills to communicate project information, influence project team partners, and deliver progress reports to senior leadership. Stay abreast of developments in food safety, foster innovation, and propose new products or processes.Mentor junior team members including training and supporting in scientific documentation, reporting, and good laboratory practices. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
