Senior Investigator (Asia Pacific)This is a regional leadership role for an experienced investigator within a highly diversified multinational organization, combining strategic oversight with hands-on execution across Asia Pacific. The incumbent will operate largely independently, overseeing and executing complex investigations across the entire region. The remit spans the full value chain of the company’s businesses — including energy, commodities, shipping, logistics, and industrial assets — requiring both strategic judgment and meticulous fieldwork.Strong command of both English and Chinese (written and spoken) is required to investigate and interpret communication in the China market.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end investigations across multiple jurisdictions, from allegation assessment and scoping to evidence gathering, interviews, analysis, and reporting.Manage cases that cut across trading, operational, financial, and governance disciplines, working closely with Legal, Compliance, HR, and external advisors to ensure thorough resolution.Synthesize findings into concise, actionable reports for senior management and drive follow-through on remediation and control improvements.Maintain professional relationships with regulators, law enforcement, and internal assurance teams.Required Experience & QualificationsAt least 15 years of investigation experience, ideally spanning both corporate and complex external environments.Proven exposure to a wide spectrum of case types, including financial, trade, and documentation fraud; trade finance and banking irregularities; bribery, corruption, and conflicts of interest; market manipulation; misconduct and control failures; cyber, data, and technology-related crime; regulatory, compliance, and sanctions breaches; as well as external fraud and emerging sustainability-linked cases.Experience handling cross-border matters and sensitive stakeholder dynamics with minimal supervision.Strong analytical, interviewing, and report-writing skills; high integrity and discretion essential.Contact:Dawn Gulanesdawn.gulanes@keplersearch.comEA Personnel no.
