Senior Frontend Engineer

The Role:A Senior Frontend Engineer at Razorpay strives to build solid frontend foundations, infrastructure, and top-notch experiences. You are required to work in teams alongside back end developers, graphic designers, and user experience designers to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Roles and Responsibilities:Develop high-quality and responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptImplement and maintain frontend frameworks and libraries, such as React, Angular, or Vue.jsCollaborate with designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional UI componentsEnsure cross-browser compatibility and optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalabilityWrite clean, modular, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practicesConduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the functionality and performance of UI componentsParticipate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainabilityWork closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend interfaces with server-side logic and APIsCollaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical insightsStay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies, trends, and best practices, and proactively suggest improvements to the development processChampion usability and accessibility, adhering to web accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG) and implementing UX principlesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and developmentMandatory Qualifications:A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experienceProficient knowledge of any popular JS framework like React, Ember, Angular, or BackboneExperience with common front-end tools like SASS/Stylus, Jade, Grunt/Gulp, etcGood understanding of REST APIAbility to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completionA willingness to learn new technology, whatever lets you deliver the best productGood to have:We also expect the following, but we accept that you can be an absolutely great developer without fulfilling the below.
