This involves the provision of dietetic counselling and support to Service Users and their families, and includes the initial consultation as well as ongoing review. The post holder will have a high level of knowledge and understanding of the nutritional difficulties prevalent in intellectual disability, autistic spectrum disorder and physical & sensory disabilities.Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:Please See Job Description For Full ListThe successful candidate will haveEssential Criteria:Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Dietitian by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU. AndHave 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification dietetic experienceAnd Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. AndProvide proof of Statutory Registration on the Dietitians Register maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued. On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Dietitians Register maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU. Desirable Criteria:Postgraduate experience of working with children with disabilities (in a community based setting). Postgraduate paediatric dietetic experience. Postgraduate INDI Paediatric Course. INDI membership.
