For more information go to www.electroluxgroup.com.About the Role:Our Legal Department for Europe, APAC & MEA is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to join the team at our headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. In this role, you will be responsible for legal matters for all commercial operations in the Nordic countries and lead centrally driven strategic legal projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), covering a broad spectrum of legal and commercial issues. You will play a key role in developing legal operations throughout EMEA and collaborate closely with colleagues in other regional locations. Alongside your legal responsibilities, you will also be part of the extended commercial leadership team for the Nordic region.This is a dynamic position where you will have the opportunity to shape both business and legal operations. Your genuine interest in understanding the business will enable you to anticipate needs, address concerns, and drive continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the General Counsel for Europe, APAC & MEA, you will be an integral member of Electrolux Group Legal Affairs, responsible for safeguarding the Group’s interests in all legal matters, while also contributing to the commercial leadership of the Nordic region.REGULAR DAY AT WORK As Senior Legal Counsel, you are expected to act as a legal generalist who is well versed with different legal, commercial and compliance topics. You will be working in a fast-paced and ever-changing business and legal environment. Therefore, you need to be agile, willing to adapt and also capable of driving change. As a legal generalist you will handle a diverse range of matters in areas such as distribution, procurement, e-commerce, customer service, dispute resolution, environmental remediation and M&A, without the need to be a specialist in every area. You will collaborate closely with available specialists in legal affairs and work side by side with various business units and other colleagues across different functions to ensure comprehensive and well-informed solutions. As we are a truly international company, you will interact and get involved in matters in other jurisdictions and with other legal teams across the world. You therefore need to feel comfortable working with different jurisdictions. You will manage contacts with external parties such as law firms and authorities.In particular, your responsibilities will include:Legal advisory Nordics: Act as the primary legal advisor for Nordic commercial operations, providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice to management and functional teams on a wide range of legal matters, covering areas such as distribution, dealership, franchise, supply, customer service, procurement, logistics, marketing and compliance, in close cooperation with available specialists in legal affairs.Strategic Projects (EMEA): Lead and support with the implementation of centrally driven key strategic projects that are executed across the EMEA region and handle a wide range of ad hoc matters, such as environmental projects, M&A activities, and divestments.Compliance: Support Electrolux’s compliance efforts across the Nordics, particularly in the anti-trust and anti-corruption fields, and collaborate with group functions to deliver training and guidance on key legal and compliance topics.Litigation Management: Oversee and manage litigation and disputes in the Nordics, working closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders to protect Electrolux interests in legal proceedings.Risk Management: identifying and assessing legal risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.Education & ExperienceQualifications: Swedish law degree.Experience: Approximately 10-15 years of post-qualification experience with a reputable law firm and/or as an in-house counsel in a multinational company. Proven experience in managing commercial, legal, and compliance/governance matters with a regional scope across the Nordics and/or EMEA is a merit but not a requirement.E-commerce and Consumer Law Experience: Experience in a direct-to-consumer or e-commerce environment is desirable but not mandatory.Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Swedish and English is a must.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex legal issues and provide practical, solution-oriented advice.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including other legal professionals, business units, and external counsels.Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the company's values and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Where you will be:This is a full-time position, based at our Global Headquarters in Stockholm (Sweden).
