Senior HVAC / Energy Systems Engineer – Geothermal Cooling | MENA RegionAbout the OpportunityWe are transforming the delivery of cooling through a Geothermal Cooling-as-a-Service (CAS) model — reducing upfront capital requirements, lowering operational costs, and cutting both energy usage and CO₂ emissions by up to 50%, with a 30% reduction in surface footprint.We are expanding across the MENA region and seeking an experienced engineer to help deploy next-generation cooling systems for aquaculture, poultry, agriculture, data centres, light/heavy manufacturing, and commercial sectors.Role OverviewThe successful candidate will lead technical proposals, system design, and energy performance optimization for innovative geothermal-based HVAC and energy systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and present technical proposals including conceptual design, scope, budgets, and timelinesDesign HVAC and energy systems (mechanical services, hydronics, etc.) for industrial and commercial environmentsConduct energy modelling, load analysis, and system performance simulationsIdentify and deliver efficiency improvements that support high COP and sustainability goalsCollaborate closely with engineering disciplines, operations, and client teamsEvaluate emerging technologies (e.g., advanced drilling, ORC systems) to enhance subsurface resource utilizationSupport commissioning and post-installation performance validationRequired Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Systems Engineering (or similar)3+ years experience in HVAC or energy system designProven experience across commercial or industrial projectsStrong skills in energy modelling, load calculations, and performance analysisFamiliarity with HVAC codes and relevant industry standardsStrong communicator with the ability to present technical solutions clearlyAble to excel in a dynamic, fast-moving startup environmentWhat You’ll GainOpportunity to help scale geothermal cooling technologies across high-growth sectorsDirect involvement in advancing renewable cooling solutions across the MENA regionBe part of a mission reshaping cooling from CapEx intensive to efficient OpEx subscription modelsA chance to deliver sustainability outcomes with measurable impact
