Senior/Principal Instrumentation EngineerLocation: BergenAbout the roleWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior/Principal Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Bergen. You will be responsible for the detailed design and execution of instrumentation tasks in offshore projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and compliance with industry standards.Key responsibilitiesPerform detailed design of instrumentation tasks for offshore projects.Participate in feasibility studies and design studies.Estimate instrumentation tasks and prepare job packages.Follow up on deliveries and ensure timely completion of work packages.Conduct discipline checks of design basis, including studies, drawings, and job packages.Liaise with suppliers and manage package responsibilities.Participate in pre-tests/FAT at supplier facilities.Conduct inspections both onshore and offshore.Mentor and provide training for new engineers.Prepare as-built documentation.Qualifications and experienceBachelor’s or master’s degree in instrumentation or automation hardware.Alternatively, a technical college degree with extensive experience in Norwegian oil and gas projects.Minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore-related projects.Strong experience in engineering design and instrumentation systems.Proficiency in Norwegian (spoken and written) and strong English skills.Good knowledge of industry standards, including ATEX, NORSOK, STID, and ProCoSys.Extensive experience with modifications on operational offshore installations.Solid understanding of instrumentation used in the oil and gas industry.Good knowledge of hydraulic and electrical control systems.Valid offshore and health certificates.Basic EX course (minimum 6–8 hours online or 22.5 hours in-class).FSE high and low voltage certification with first aid.P.S.: Working at euroRessurs gives you the possibility of joining exciting projects in areas that really fit your career growth and personal goals!
