Job Description
This position provides efficient and effective regulatory compliance, investigation, and enforcement services in a busy regional office.As The Senior Investigations Officer, You WillOversee and undertake investigations into possible breaches of legislation administered by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).Assist with the development and implementation of compliance strategies, programs and activities.Prepare prosecution briefs and represent the OFT in court proceedings.Monitor a wide range of marketplace activity for compliance with legislation and initiate corrective action where necessary in accordance with the OFT's policies and procedures.Prepare correspondence and reports, relating to the investigation of complaints of a complex or sensitive nature.Conduct industry and community engagement activities which contribute to the OFT's goals, including the delivery of education sessions and representing the OFT in dealings with other agencies, industry and community groups.Guide, support, assist, and mentor other team members in the conduct of their duties.Provide accurate and relevant information and advice to clients regarding the OFT's legislation, services, policies, procedures, forms, fees etc.Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of OFT legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
