For day-to-day feature work, our engineers are organized into smaller cross-functional, geolocation-specific feature squads or teams. Our squads have a great deal of autonomy and are responsible for the development and architecture of their features. Squads take full ownership of their code and handle everything from concepting, design and implementation to release, maintenance and bug fixes.Your team, The Core UX Squad operates within the HealthOS Mission, whose purpose is to enable other teams to efficiently deliver personalized solutions that help members build sustainable, empowered relationships with their health. As part of this mission, the Core UX Squad is responsible for developing and architecting UI platform capabilities that support and accelerate the work of other squads.This is an on-site (Helsinki, Oulu) or remote Finland-based role.What You Will DoWork together with a passionate team of engineers, designers, and product managers creating stellar product experiences around UI and UX of customer-facing features and capabilities.Help create shared platforms and reusable systems to simplify workflows and reduce redundant efforts.Develop new UI features and capabilities using Swift and UIKit, ensuring responsiveness, scalability, and alignment with design guidelines.Refactor existing features to improve code quality, performance, and maintainability.Ensure high quality through code reviews, automatic testing, and engineering best practices.Requirements For The RoleWe would love to have you on our team if you have:A minimum of 5 years of professional development experience shipping iOS apps.Deep experience with UIKit and Swift, and modern iOS app architectures.Proven experience in building complex user-facing features and reusable UI components.Experience with collaborative development on complex shared codebases.Proficiency with Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and standard code review workflows.A focus on quality through unit tests and manual testing.A strong product and design sensibility and a “user delight” mindset.Ability to design and implement performant, reusable, maintainable, and testable code.Solid understanding of what you build as a whole, both from an engineering and end-user perspective.
