Senior IT Business Analyst (Financial)

We are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Senior IT Business Analyst with a strong background in financial systems and a proven ability to tackle complex enterprise-wide challenges. This critical role is responsible for bridging the gap between intricate business requirements and robust technical solutions, directly contributing to the accuracy and reliability of our core financial software, while also lending expertise to other strategic projects across the organization.You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and enhancing sophisticated financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow, precise calculations, and comprehensive reporting across multiple entities. Your analytical prowess will also be crucial in identifying and defining solutions for complex problems in various other business domains.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Systems Expertise:Proactively gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements from diverse stakeholders, focusing on intricate financial logic, inter-company transactions, and consolidated reporting needs for large-scale financial software projects.Translate detailed financial business requirements into clear, precise, and actionable technical specifications and comprehensive data mapping documents for our development team.Deeply analyze and design financial system logic to ensure the highest accuracy in calculations, prevent data inconsistencies, and maintain control over diverse user inputs.Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to ensure financial solutions accurately reflect business needs, identify potential logic flaws, and proactively mitigate risks in system design, ensuring financial data integrity.Enterprise Project Support:Apply strong business analysis methodologies to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for a variety of non-financial, strategic enterprise projects.Work with cross-functional teams to identify pain points, define scope, and propose effective solutions for diverse business challenges.Solution Design & Implementation: Contribute significantly to the design and implementation of new and enhanced complex software features, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and adherence to best practices across all assigned projects.Expert Guidance: Provide expert guidance and insights on best practices in requirements gathering, documentation, and quality control for both financial and general business systems.Leadership: Take ownership of the business analysis stream for highly complex and strategic projects, from conceptualization through to successful deployment.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master's degree in business and IT. Candidates who have certifications in both areas are preferred.Extensive experience (6+ years preferred) as a Business Analyst, with a significant portion specifically within financial software development projects.Deep understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and consolidated reporting. Experience with multi-company financial data and inter-entity transactions is essential.Proven expertise in translating complex business needs into detailed technical documentation and comprehensive data mapping specifications.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to design robust system logic and identify potential points of failure in complex systems, particularly for financial calculations.Strong experience in ensuring the accuracy of calculations and managing complex user input scenarios within software systems.Experience in mentoring or guiding project teams on business analysis best practices.Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical teams and non-technical business users, simplifying complex information.A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset with the flexibility to adapt to diverse project requirements.
