About the RoleFor one of our banking clients in Lugano, we are looking for a Senior IT specialist who will be the primary contact for the Milan office.What will you do?As a Senior IT Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and supporting the Group's and local IT infrastructure for the Italian entities. Your responsibilities will include:Providing first- and second-level support to users, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.Managing and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure, including servers, networks, and company devices, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.Ensuring ICT compliance with Italian regulations (such as the DORA regulation) and Group policies, acting as the first point of contact for audits, documentation, and regulatory requirements.Collaborating with the Group's IT team and external vendors to implement and support IT solutions aligned with the Group's and company's needs.Monitoring and improving system performance, identifying areas for optimization and proactively addressing any risks.Contributing to IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations, with a focus on quality and efficiency.The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with solid expertise in user support and system and network management.Technical Skills:Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems.Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware (or possibly Hyper-V).Familiarity with network protocols, firewall configuration, and cybersecurity practices.Ability to manage corporate devices and centralized management tools, such as:- Directory services for access and identity management (e.g., Active Directory, MS EntraId)- Large-scale software deployment and update solutions- Enterprise mobile device management systems.- Experience in configuring and managing Microsoft Azure cloud environments, including integration with on-premises infrastructure.Regulatory KnowledgeUnderstanding of ICT compliance requirements, particularly Italian and European regulations such as the DORA regulation.Experience in preparing and managing external audits.Soft SkillsAnalytical and problem-solving skills: structured and proactive approach to resolving technical and organizational issues.Effective communication: ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, in Italian and English.Cross-functional collaboration: ability to work in a team, with particular attention to cooperation with the Group's IT team, even in international and geographically distributed environments.Results-oriented: ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and actively contribute to achieving shared goals.Proactivity and initiative: willingness to propose solutions, improvements, and anticipate potential critical issues. Adaptability: ability to manage change and new challenges with a positive attitude.Preferred QualificationsProfessional certifications, such as ITIL, Microsoft, and/or cybersecurity, are a plus.Experience in regulated corporate environments.Required languages: Italian C1 and English B2Salary: We offer an interesting salary with a permanent Swiss contractWork location: Lugano & Milan, 1 day in SmartWorking from Switzerland r ItalyPre-requisites: you must be in possession of a work permit valid for Swiss territory or have the nationality of a European nation.
