Senior IT PMO Specialist

Job DescriptionJob Overview:The Senior IT PMO Specialist uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the IT PMO discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the IT PMO discipline. They solve complex problems and use their discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior IT PMO Specialist impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the IT PMO team and other related teams and ensures that they are working within the appropriate guidelines and policies.ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities:Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets Assume day-to-day responsibility to ensure that IT Projects are completed on time, within budget, and that all deliverables are of the highest quality Assure that deviations from the project schedule are addressed and communicated Develop timely project status reports Sustain the project work site for documentation and team communications Monitor project risk factors, escalate project issues, and provide Quality Assurance for all project deliverables Support the project team members to complete their work by fostering a professional work environment Provide regular updates to the business sponsor and project leadership team Responsible for overall Customer Satisfaction with the performance of IT Projects to meet stated objectives that are aligned with the business Responsible for overall project delivery QualificationsEssential Qualifications and Education:Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience Project Management certification is required (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) Lean Six Sigma Experience is preferred5+ years of work experience; Work experience can be waived with higher than minimum Degree requirement metWide experience with technical activities, including onshore and offshore operations Experience working with offshore development teams Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and must be capable of managing multiple projects, both short and long term Ability to work independently and as a team player Strong problem-solving, determination and resolution skills Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbout UsLutech Resources has over 25 years’ experience providing tailor made recruitment and integrated resource management to leading Engineering, Energy and Manufacturing sector companies worldwide.
