Job Description
We are looking for an experienced ICT Infrastructure Project Manager to coordinate and deliver technical infrastructure projects within a large-scale utilities environment.You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams across several sites to plan, execute, and follow up on projects such as data-center migrations, server and database upgrades, and Azure Cloud transitions.Working within the System Integration & Design department, you’ll collaborate closely with infrastructure and application teams located in Melle, Mechelen, and Hasselt to ensure each initiative is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.Key ResponsibilitiesInitiate and scope projects – collect input, draft project canvases, and guide proposals through internal approval phases.Define scope and work packages, including accurate workload and cost estimation.Develop detailed implementation plans covering timing, resources, and deliverables.Coordinate cross-functional teams (internal specialists and external suppliers) and ensure alignment with planning and budget.Monitor progress and report on timing, costs, risks, and quality to project steering committees.Facilitate stakeholder meetings at multiple levels (project team, technical experts, management).Define and supervise testing strategies to guarantee operational quality.Ensure risk, issue, and action management throughout the project lifecycle.Contribute to continuous improvement by applying recognized PM and IT service methodologies.What are we looking for?Must-Have Skills5+ years of experience as Project Manager for technical ICT infrastructure projects.Proven experience with data-center migrations and database or server transition projects.Minimum 2 years leading projects on Microsoft Azure Cloud.Experience in utilities or energy-sector environments.Familiarity with project-management methodologies such as Prince2 or PMBOK.Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum practices and ITIL processes.Higher education (Bachelor or Master) in a technical or engineering field, or equivalent experience.Fluent Dutch (C2) – essential for stakeholder communication.Willingness to travel between regional sites across Flanders when needed.Nice-to-HaveExperience managing projects related to physical security systems (access control, fire detection, CCTV).Conceptual knowledge of operating systems, databases, hardware, and network components.Familiarity with utility-sector IT environments and regulatory frameworks.What do we offer?Workload: Full-time (100 %)Location: Melle + regional sites (Mechelen, Hasselt)Contract: Freelance or PermanentStart Date: 15 January 2026Duration: Initial 12 months, renewable (through 2028)
