In this role you will work as part of a small team of like-minded and motivated professionals with a passion for safety and health regulation in the Resource Sector.Reporting to the Principal Lawyer and the Director of RSHQ Legal, you will play a key role in supporting RSHQ to deliver on its objectives, including the strategic plan and vision of achieving zero serious harm.Working across a diverse range of legal matters, you will excel in this role if you have a background in a regulatory environment, have a solutions-focused approach to resolving complex legal issues, possess great communication skills and have a positive attitude.The work that the Senior Lawyer in the RSHQ Legal team will undertake involves conducting complex litigation, providing quality advice to internal stakeholders, advising on commercial matters and workplace matters, providing authoritative advice on administrative law matters generally and conducting training and development and delivering educational materials to internal staff and stakeholders. The team also provides legal representation where RSHQ may be a party to coronial inquests. The scope of the litigation work in the role may also involve instructing panel firms and Counsel as required.About YouWe look forward to receiving applications from lawyers who are eligible to practice in Queensland.
