SummaryWe are seeking a specialized and skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal team. If you are a passionate lawyer with a proven track record of providing strategic legal guidance and mastering complex agreements in the software industry and extensive background in personal data protection, we encourage you to apply.Job DescriptionYou will work closely with our business teams to ensure that our company's business goals are achieved, while at the same time the agreements are compliant with all applicable laws and the company’s interests are protected.To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate extensive experience and expertise in working with large enterprise and corporate international clients on a wide range of technology, software agreements, ranging from software services and products to complex software solutions, including SaaS agreements,. Concurrently, you must possess an extensive expertise in GDPR compliance, international data transfers, and data protection frameworks.To enhance your likelihood of being shortlisted for an interview, please ensure that your CV includes comprehensive and detailed information about your specific experience in the aforementioned fields, including not only your SW contracts related, but also your hands-on experience and your ability to navigate and implement complex data protection regulations in international contexts.The content of your CV is crucial in demonstrating your qualifications and expertise.Powers and responsibilities:Independently manage complex legal projects, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating products/service and data protection agreements ( DPAs), as well as supporting and coordinating international personal data transfers (e.g. SCCs, TIAs and related measures)Independently prepare complex legal analysisProvide tailored legal guidance to our business teams in matters with significant impacts for the company in areas of software/IT law and personal data protectionAct as a subject matter expert on software-related agreements, ensuring that our company's agreements are compliant with industry standards and best practicesStay up-to-date on the latest legal developments in the software industry and personal data protection and identify potential risks and opportunitiesContinuously identify areas for improvements in legal processes, contract templates or other areas and implement the changesRepresent the company in negotiations with external partiesQualificationsEMPLOYEE REQUIREMENTSAdvanced legal degree (Mgr. or LLM)Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate legal experience, with at least 5 years in a law firm or as in-house counselExpertise and experience as described in Job Description, including a minimum of 3 years of practical experience with GDPR implementation and data protection complianceLanguage SkillsLegal English (C1) - Advanced knowledge (you will be expected to work almost exclusively with English language agreements)Personality Traits And SkillsDemonstrated ability to provide clear, concise, and persuasive legal adviceStrong negotiation and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamKey team player working mostly with multiple other teams and individuals across the companyOutstanding and reliable performanceHigh integrity standardsGood understanding of technology, IT and data protection and their terminologyBasic wage component (brutto): from 3500 EUR* Financial bonus based on performance paid twice a year up to 15% from the base salary paid during the evaluation period (normally 6 months).* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.At ESET, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are integral to our corporate culture.
