You’ll combine deep legal expertise with strategic thinking to guide our business through a fast-evolving financial regulatory landscape. Working closely with management and cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure Froda’s products, partnerships, and processes meet high standards of compliance while enabling innovation and growth.As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll serve as a regulatory expert within the legal team, taking ownership of complex regulatory matters and driving strategic initiatives from idea to execution. You’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Legal and legal colleagues, ensuring Froda operates at the forefront of legal compliance and governance while maintaining a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.What You’ll DoKey legal expert on rules and regulations applicable to Froda, including AML, DORA, GDPR, outsourcing.Lead regulatory implementation and monitoring efforts and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws.Provide strategic and practical advice to management and business units on regulatory risks and opportunities in product development and partnerships.Drive and continuously refine Froda’s regulatory governance framework, including policies, procedures, and internal documentation.Collaborate with external counsel, regulators, and industry networks to stay ahead of European and Nordic regulatory developments.Support expansion into new markets through legal due diligence and alignment of local regulatory requirements.Contribute to team development through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and by taking ownership of areas of expertise.What You’ll BringSwedish LL.M (Juristexamen) or equivalent Nordic legal education.10+ years of experience from a law firm, financial institution, or fintech company with strong exposure to financial regulation, banking & finance, or payments.Deep understanding of EU and Nordic regulatory frameworks (e.g. AML, outsourcing, operational resilience, consumer credit, DORA).Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex regulatory projects and collaborate effectively across disciplines.Excellent communication skills in English and SwedishA pragmatic, analytical, and business-minded approach to solving legal challenges.Who You AreA self-driven and solution-oriented legal professional who thrives in an evolving, high-paced environment.Confident in taking ownership and driving workstreams independently, while collaborating closely with colleagues and stakeholders.Curious, structured, and proactive in identifying regulatory implications and turning them into actionable insights.Passionate about enabling growth through smart compliance.Why Join Froda?Work in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.Be part of a collaborative and innovative culture that values autonomy, ownership, and meaningful impact.Competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance and pension plans.Work in a stunning office location at Slussen, Stockholm.Join UsIf you want to make a real impact in a leading fintech company, we’d love to hear from you.
