THE ROLEAs a Senior Legal Policy Officer in the MARAMIS Policy and Improvement Team, you will lead the development of legal policy and projects relating to the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) and the Victorian Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM).The successful candidate will utilise their excellent legal policy skills to provide policy advice on behalf of Family Safety Victoria, and lead a program of work as described above, including providing advice to stakeholders in implementing the reforms.The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires capacity to exercise sound legal and policy judgement, and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.Accountabilities IncludeProvide authoritative advice, including legal policy advice, reasoned recommendations and innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues based on comprehensive research. Update regulations, delegations, instruments, Ministerial Declarations, related resources including the FVISS Ministerial Guidelines and provide advice on the inter-operation of relevant parts of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and other related reforms, including the Orange Door.Develop policy initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.How To ApplyPlease open the position description to read more.Applicants are encouraged to apply online.
