Your job is to keep production fast, secure, and available, while improving automation and reducing toil. You will report to the CTO in Hungary and collaborate closely with a distributed Systems and DevOps group, including colleagues in New Zealand.What you will doOperate and tune Debian or Ubuntu servers across data centers, focusing on external servicesAutomate with Ansible, manage containers with Docker, and work with KVM for virtualizationOwn incident response for your area, investigate root causes, and reduce repeat issuesManage and support parts of the LAMP stack, DNS, and mail services where requiredTroubleshoot network issues at the TCP or IP level, including routing and firewallingContribute to configuration standards, documentation, and continuous improvementHow they workSecurity first mindset, including progressive access. Privileged access is granted based on need and trust, not blanket keysPragmatic change management with clear maintenance windows and rollback plansClose cooperation with engineering, security, and SREAbout you5 or more years of hands‑on experience with Debian or Ubuntu in productionStrong troubleshooting across systems, networks, and hardwareExperience with Ansible, Docker, and KVMSolid understanding of security best practice, disaster recovery, and performance analysisScripting in shell.
