Job Description

As the Deputy Director of Loan Administration at Bank of China (M) Berhad, you will play a key role in supervising and ensuring the credit administration function operates within the team is effective and in accordance with the bank’s business objectives and regulatory requirements. This full-time position is based in our Kuala Lumpur head office.Main ResponsibilitiesEnsure the credit functions complement the business development objectives and comply with the relevant legal requirements, policies and procedures, rules and regulations, and ethical standards.Ensure accurate & reliable loan documentation, disbursement, collateral data maintenance, post disbursement functions are carried out effectively with the Bank’s interest well protected.Ensure the drafting of Letter of Offer for Corporate & Personal Loan is carried out effectively within standard turnaround time against the Credit Approval.Serve as an advisor for matters related to Letter of Offer, Loan Documentation, Disbursement and Post Disbursement Administration.As a checker/authorized signatory for the following matters:All matters related to pre and post execution of legal documentationLoan release upon perfection of documentation and compliance of conditions precedentSafe-keeping of security documentsDocumentation in respect of loan settlement/discharge of securityDocumentation in respect of substitution of security and perfection of chargeVetting letter of offer and customize legal documentsSecurity documents verificationApprover of collateral information creation/updating in systemsAll other related loan system maintenanceAmalgamation and/or sub-division of titleIssuance of redemption statement and other related mattersOther ResponsibilitiesBe the lead in executing operational risk management activities in the department i.e. assisting the Head of business/ implement the specific operational risk management requirements according to the policies and procedures of the bank/Group which includes but not limited to implementation of risk point identification, operational risk self-assessment, key risk indicator (“KRI”) application, operational risk incident reporting and business continuity requirement.Keep abreast of the provision and changes in the Statutory requirements, Head Office Policies and Bank Negara Malaysia’s Guidelines to ensure due compliance in all aspects of human resources and administration.Adheres and ensures that the policies, procedures and guidelines listed in the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism Operations Manual is complied as well as all other operating policies/procedures and regulatory rules are complied at all times.Perform any other functions as assigned by Management from time to time.Requirements Degree holder or above with major in Business Administration, Banking, Accounting, Finance, Management or related disciplines.Minimum 15 years of working relevant experience.Able to lead and manage team.Good interpersonal and communication skill.Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese will be preferred.We offer competitive remuneration package and comprehensive fringe benefits including medical and life insurance, and different types of allowances to the right candidates.
