About This RoleAs a Logistics Specialist, you'll be a vital member of our International Logistics & Customer Service team, ensuring smooth distribution and logistics operations. You will manage complex international shipments and the operational delivery of the order-to-cash process for diverse distribution models. Your role involves close collaboration with global supply chain and PO&T functions, overseeing Finished Goods shipments, invoicing, and resolving shipping deviations. You will identify shipment risks and implement corrective actions to minimize supply disruptions while adhering to quality and compliance frameworks such as SOX, GMP, and GDP. By analysing cross-functional processes, you'll enhance the quality and efficiency of our supply chain, ensuring consistent product supply and surpassing customer service expectations. With your expertise, you'll also provide training on distribution and logistics activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of our operations.What You’ll DoSupervise and manage operational distribution and logistics activities, including inventory monitoring and coordination with internal teams and logistics partners.Lead continuous improvement initiatives across distribution and logistics functions.Train and provide guidance in all areas of distribution and logistics.Analyse logistics processes and implement solutions to improve supply chain efficiency and quality.Communicate shipment risks and support the implementation of corrective actions.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance logistics execution.Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards in logistics activities.Monitor inventory levels to anticipate and plan logistics activities.Manage Finished Goods shipments, invoicing, and sales & inventory reporting.Influence and develop goals and objectives across distribution and logistics.Liaise with governmental departments to coordinate logistics documentation and processes.Who You AreYou are detail-oriented and thrive in complex environments, effectively balancing multiple projects and tasks. You are proactive in identifying improvements and have a deep understanding of logistics activities, bringing insight and leadership to your role.Required SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a logistics role, with at least 2 years in a similar position within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.Experience in an international and regulated environment is required.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work in fast-paced environments with great organizational skills.Exceptional team player with the ability to direct and participate in cross-functional teams.Project management experience.Proficiency in supply chain tools such as Oracle, Hyperion, PowerBI, TrackWise, SAP.Preferred SkillsLean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.Ability to train and coach others in distribution and logistics functions.Job Level: ProfessionalWhy Biogen?We are a global team with a commitment to excellence, and a pioneering spirit.
