Job Description

Job SummaryThe Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the property. This position involves performing preventative maintenance, repairing equipment and systems, and ensuring guest rooms and public areas operate efficiently to create a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities including guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and exterior grounds. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential issues. Repair or replace items such as fixtures, plumbing, locks, drywall, paint, flooring, and appliances. Maintain equipment like boilers, water heaters, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and policies. Keep maintenance logs and work order records. Assist with emergency repairs and address urgent maintenance issues. Maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous maintenance experience in hospitality, facilities, or building maintenance preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general construction; certifications highly desired. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Good communication and customer service skills.Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.Work Schedule Full-time or part-time position. May require evenings, weekends, and holidays. On-call availability may be required for emergencies.Preferred Skills HVAC certification or trade training. Previous hotel or property maintenance experience.
