Senior Manager - Data Governance

Job DescriptionThe role is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive data governance framework that ensures the integrity, quality, consistency, privacy, and compliance of data across the organization. The role positions data as a strategic enterprise asset to enable informed decision-making, regulatory reporting, and digital transformation. He/she ensures full compliance with all applicable local and international data management regulations and standards throughout the data lifecycle. The role provides expert oversight and guidance on data governance best practices, including data classification, handling, protection, and ethical usage.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain enterprise-wide data governance policies, standards, and procedures.Establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across all business functions.Lead the adoption of data governance principles to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.Establishes policies to define ownership and accountabilities for the quality and security of critical dataDefine and monitor key data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency).Implement data quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.Lead root cause analysis and resolution of data-related issues.Identifies impact of various stages of the data lifecycle on business valueAssures compliance with KSA data governance regulations and policiesAnticipate legal implications of data handling processesRolls-out defined data governance procedures and standards across the BankDevelop internal standards to guide data capture and validation, access, usage, masking, storage, archival and retentionLays out implementation approach and monitoring of data governance rules and policies to all the operational datasets of the BankCollaborates with different functions to implement data governance policies and standardsInitiate process and programs to mitigate business risk of poor data quality and practicesPerform any other duties assigned to by line manager related to the nature of the workEnforce, incorporate, and comply with all necessary controls and related information security policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, personal due diligence and vigilance, within departmental/unit activities and operations.
