Senior Manager - MRO Operations

Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLETo lead the project management and development of internal maintenance capabilities for the setup and commissioning of the new flydubai Aircraft Maintenance Centre (AMC), and establishing a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operational function that ensures all aircraft handling, maintenance activities, and hangar operations are conducted safely, effectively, and in compliance with aviation regulations and organizational policies.Key ResponsibilitiesDelivers and implements strategic AMC project plans aligned with organizational goals ensuring regulatory compliance, safety and quality are key deliverables in each AMC area and thoroughly designed into the operating model.Manages, coordinates and negotiates with multi-disciplinary teams and project stakeholders including engineers, mechanics, CAMO support staff, procurement, safety and quality assurance teams.Leads the management of project financials by ensuring cost control, forecasting, and reporting are aligned with Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and forecast Operating Expenditure (OPEX) budgets, while supporting future OPEX forecasting.Resolves escalated project risks and issues, coordinating with stakeholders, and making critical decisions to keep projects on track and compliant.Drives digitisation and adopts innovative maintenance strategies that ensure industry leading levels of safety and efficiency become the flydubai AMC standard.Designs process flows for a new AMC that minimize waste and risk in the base maintenance environment, ensuring compliance meets the regulatory standards set by GCAA and EASA while supporting the new and amended approval application process.Establishes effective performance monitoring KPIs and support system development for tracking and focused continuous improvement.Lead and oversees multiple aircraft maintenance and modification projects simultaneously, taking responsibility for the performance of the production environment and establishing optimized base maintenance cost effectiveness through robust planning and execution policy, process and procedure.Supports the integration of multiple maintenance software tools, assist in the configuration and implementation of electronic work instructions, digital tooling solutions and automated warehousing systems.Ensures sufficient, qualified and trained staff are available on time to the AMC through the recruitment and headcount growth plans and initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's Degree (3+ years)Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or equivalent aircraft maintenance engineer, airworthiness, safety or quality qualificationFluent in EnglishDemonstrable experience in setting up new aircraft maintenance hangars or MRO environments including the regulatory approval process.
