Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence

ApplyBookmark jobAs Senior Manager of Competitive Intelligence, you’ll contribute to Nokia Technologies’ investment strategy, planning and optimization as part of Product Management team within the Strategy & Product Management function in Nokia Technologies. This role is fundamental in understanding competitor behavior in patenting and feeding insights into our strategy, planning, and patent portfolio optimization processes. The role requires strong pre-existing knowledge of patent data and the patenting process.How You Will Contribute And What You Will LearnEnd-to-end competitive intelligence with a focus on patent data, for example: Delivering insights into composition and development of the competitive patent landscapeDeveloping and validating new metrics and methods for quantifying and comparing patent portfolios Analyzing differences and changes in competitor patenting and portfolio management behaviorsIdentifying and leveraging relevant internal and external data to deliver fit-for-purpose analyses Generating foresight and analyzing technology and business disruptions and competitive dynamics Developing competitive intelligence, benchmarking, and forecasting for patent licensing Contributing to the development of competitive intelligence processes, tools, and methodsKey Skills And ExperienceStrong academic record with a master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. economics, engineering, data science, finance or equivalent quantitative skillset) Pre-existing knowledge of patent data and the patenting process Proven experience of data science tools (e.g. Python, SQL, Azure Databricks environment) Experience in working with large data sets and building quantitative analyses and models Proven track-record of delivering excellent results in demanding project environments Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively at different levels of abstraction Able to handle complex concepts and translate analyses into actionable recommendations Team player with ability and drive to independently produce quality deliverables on tight deadlines Excellent written and communication skills in EnglishAbout UsAbout NokiaJoin us in creating the technology that helps the world act together.We are a B2B technology innovation leader, pioneering networks that sense, think and act™, putting the world’s people, machines and devices in sync to create a more sustainable, productive and accessible future.Learn more about life at Nokia.About The Business GroupNokia Technologies manages and monetizes Nokia’s patent portfolio, building on Nokia’s continued innovation and decades of R&D leadership in technologies deployed in virtually all connected devices used today.
