[What the role is][What the role is]The officer will play a key role in contributing to the success of the Singapore Grand Prix, a marquee annual event for Singapore that contributes significant economic and tourism benefits, and in raising the profile of destination Singapore. First held in 2008, the Singapore Grand Prix was the first night race in the FIA Formula One World Championship race calendar. It remains to be Asia’s only street circuit and night race.STB is responsible for leading the Whole-of-Government effort to plan and execute this world class event in partnership with our race promoter.The officer will lead and drive various critical aspects of the race: Oversee the circuit set-up and manage the use of race-related infrastructure in the circuit in close partnership with SGP and other government agencies. Maximise the showcase of Singapore's cityscape on aerial broadcast by planning the lighting of key trackside properties and facilitating F1’s aerial filming operations. Represent the Government/STB in the Race Organising Committee and manage key stakeholders.[What you will be working on][What you will be working on]The officer will take on three key scope of work:Circuit and InfrastructurePlan and oversee the set-up of race-related infrastructure within the circuit in close partnership with Government agencies and race promoter SGP. This includes to:Oversee the resurfacing, modification (if required), and use/rental of F1 Tracks to ensure the tracks remain compliant with FIA standards. With NS Square (the former Floating Platform) expected to be completed by 2027, the officer is required to work closely with SGP to embark on a track redesign study and incorporate NS Square in the circuit.Lead the asset management of key Government assets (race track lighting system and overpasses), including maintenance and modification (if required), to ensure these remain operationally ready each year.Represent the interests of STB and the Singapore Grand Prix as a project in national development projects which interface with the circuit such as NS Square and the National Cycling Plan.City LightingPlan and review the lighting of key trackside properties around the Marina Bay circuit with the city lighting contractor to maximise the showcase of Singapore's cityscape on aerial broadcast, which translates into international media value and destination branding. The officer will have the opportunity to refresh the city lighting plans for the next few years.Facilitate F1's aerial filming requirements with SGP, key Government agencies such as the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Singapore Police Force, and other stakeholders such as Swissotel etc.Race Organising CommitteeDrive progress on key issues and facilitate good working relationships with diverse stakeholders – race promoter SGP, national sporting association Motor Sport Singapore (MSS), and Sport Singapore.Represent the Government’s position and interests in the ROC.[What we are looking for][What we are looking for]Core Competencies Required For This JobShowing good business acumen, analytical thinking and judgement Working effectively within STB to achieve resultsWorking effectively with stakeholders outside STBServing with heart, commitment and purposeBeing innovative and learning continuouslyJob RequirementsAt least 7 years of working experience.
