What The Role IsThe National Mental Health Office comprises officers from the education, health and social sectors. It oversees the implementation of the National Mental Health and Well-being Strategy, the progress of existing initiatives, and future mental health care development.As a Manager / Senior Manager / Lead Manager in the National Mental Health Office, you will play a critical role to support the development of strategies and services and promotion of social-health integration in mental health and dementia care. Given the focus on youth mental health, will engage with and form partnerships with a diverse group of clinical and professional stakeholders, advocates and inter-ministry agencies for youth mental health such as Ministry of Education. You will support research, conceptualisation and development of future care models and system designsYou will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What You Will Be Working OnTo develop an effective mental health ecosystem, you will support the Office to implement the National Mental Health and Well-being Strategy in, but not limited to the following areas:Responsibilities Manage the implementation of MOH-funded mental health services, including Blueprint, Community Mental Health Masterplan services (Tiers 1-4 services) Develop and review service and care models to support children and youth in the education, health and community settings Develop and implement the strategies and projects under the National Mental Health and Well-being Strategy, including care models, implementation plans, monitoring indicators Develop and implement the national mental health competency training framework, and ensure quality assurance of training standards & services Support service coordination between school, health and community Oversee the suicide prevention efforts and develop suicide-related MOH projects (e.g. intermediate facility for youths) Oversee and coordinate mental health prevention efforts, such as resilience building of youth Maintain policy oversight and coordinate mental health promotion and preventive pieces undertaken by relevant partner agenciesWhat We Are Looking For Relevant qualifications in healthcare, public health or related field, preferably psychology or allied health or life science. Has a strong interest in Mental Health-related matters relating to children, adolescents and youth Relevant working experience in healthcare, social services or public policy is desired. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply. Strong project management, implementation and budget planning skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data, and develop evidence-based recommendations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Need to be able to work independently as well as in a team, and in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders Good skills in analytical thinking, writing and presentation, coordination and logistical arrangementsKey Competencies Required Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities.
