Senior Manager / Head of Manufacturing Excellence ( GM OR ABOVE LEVEL ) Package : 1.5 Mn - 1.8 Mn Gross Location: KatunayakeRole We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven manufacturing leader to spearhead operations and continuous improvement across a large-scale, technology-driven manufacturing facility employing over 1,500 associates.The incumbent will play a strategic and hands-on leadership role, ensuring world-class productivity, efficiency, and profitability, while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and workforce excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end manufacturing function, driving production efficiency, quality, and cost optimization.Ensure consistent achievement of operational and financial targets, aligning with overall business goals.Oversee daily plant operations and workforce performance across multiple production lines and support teams.Manage the P&L for the manufacturing division, ensuring profitability and sustainable cost management.Drive Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and Kaizen initiatives to achieve measurable productivity and process improvements.Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, quality, and maintenance functions for seamless operational delivery.Ensure strict adherence to EHS, ISO, and corporate compliance standards.Lead, coach, and inspire large teams to deliver excellence, fostering leadership capability and performance discipline at all levels.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production).12–18 years of proven experience in large-scale, high-technology manufacturing operations.Proven track record of achieving production, efficiency, and cost targets within a complex manufacturing environment.Strong leadership experience managing 1,000+ workforce teams in an MNC or world-class plant.Hands-on expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and operational excellence frameworks.Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution, with strong business acumen and P&L accountability.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a passion for performance and people development.What We OfferOpportunity to lead in a global, innovation-driven manufacturing environment.A platform to drive operational transformation and set new benchmarks in manufacturing excellence.Competitive remuneration, leadership visibility, and long-term growth opportunities.
