Home | Housing AustraliaAbout the roleReporting to the Head of Operational Risk, the role is responsible for advising on risks and controls required to deliver Housing Programs. You will be part of the Line 2 risk function assisting in overseeing and challenging risk assessments, risk and control uplift, establishing and monitoring control self-assessments, control design and remediation. In addition, you will support risk culture uplift and help improve risk management within Housing Australia.Key responsibilitiesResponsible for the oversight of the Business Unit Risk Assessments and Risk ProfilesAdvise and provide review and challenge on Control Self-Assessments across Housing AustraliaCarry out walkthroughs of processes to support the business in identifying significant risks and controlsOversee the operational risk incident management process to ensure that timeliness, integrity, and quality control are maintainedUndertaken appropriate review of operational incident impacts and root cause analysisOversee the consistent implementation of the risk framework, policies and proceduresActively support the improvement in risk culture and work to improve risk management practicesSkills and experience10+ years in an operational risk, risk management advisory or assurance, internal or external Audit, gained within a dynamic international financial institution, financial services firm or within a professional services environmentStrong controls assessment or internal audit skills and experienceWorking knowledge of the regulatory environment and possess the commercial experience and analytical mindset to make sound recommendations on operational risk issuesAbility to partner with stakeholders to influence favourable outcomes and enable positive business engagement through effective communication skillsAbility to think critically and uncover hidden insightsWe would love to hear from you.
