For more, visit usga.org.About this role:The Senior Manager, Player Services is responsible for driving and executing the USGA’s Player Services strategy at USGA Championships. The primary focus of the role will be the U.S. Amateur and the U.S. Senior Open Championships, with support for two other USGA championships. The Senior Manager, Player Services will create and deliver a best-in-class player experience at the U.S. Amateur, U.S. Senior Open, and other championships, collaborating with multiple constituencies including USGA internal teams, championship directors, host venues and vendors.What you'll do:Build and oversee the Player Services plan for the U.S. Amateur, U.S. Senior Open and other designated championships to facilitate player logistics including player parking, transportation, player security, general player movement, credentials and ticketing. Drive player experience requirements including the following: health and wellness, player registration, player gifting, family activities, player hospitality and player locker room. Work closely with championship directors on food & beverage plans for players and caddies, special amenities, gifting, etc.Work with the USGA Championship Directors and on-site staff to develop and implement the plan for caddie services including caddie parking, registration, and hospitality, as well as accommodations plans for players. Liaise with equipment manufacturers and player support teams on logistics for each applicable championship, including parking, credentialing, and truck access.Lead delivery of player receptions and welcome parties in coordination with championship directors and director USGA branded events.Proactively work with USGA Championship Directors on planning 2-3 years in advance.Manage player relations championship budgets and team scheduling for the U.S. Amateur and U.S Senior Open championships.Other projects as assigned by Director, Player Services.Where you'll be: This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday.What you bring:5+ years of relevant experience in sports management or administration, event management, athlete management and services, customer services or other related fieldBachelors degree in sports management or administration, education, business, communications or other related fieldExperience managing a team and budgetsKnowledge of golfRelationship and culture builderExcellent written and oral communication skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsHighly collaborativeStrategic thinkerSelf-motivated and a motivatorProblem-solverExperience in managing budget and teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentInnovative and CreativeLevel: Senior ManagerJob Location: Liberty Corner, NJSalary Range: $80,000 - $95,000The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. This range represents what we reasonably expect to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and relevant certifications.
