Senior Manager – Technical Pre-Sales (Telecom, Security, Mission-Critical Systems)

A leading engineering group in the UAE is looking for a Senior Manager – Technical Pre-Sales to lead a high-performing team responsible for designing, costing and delivering complex telecom, security, and mission-critical system bids across Oil & Gas, Energy, and Industrial mega-projects.This is a strategic, customer-facing leadership role - ideal for someone who has owned large multi-system solution design, led pre-sales/bid teams, and delivered integrated telecom & security engineering in the region.What You’ll Own:Lead and manage a pre-sales engineering team (Telecom + Security Systems)Take full ownership of technical inputs at bidding stage: solution design, integration, costing, and documentationReview technical specifications, design architecture, and ensure systems work together seamlessly (telecom, radio, security, networking)Produce complete bid packages: BOMs, drawings, pricing sheets, and technical submissionsWork closely with senior leadership (incl. SVP & BDS team) to deliver accurate, competitive bids on timeGuide solution design for Oil & Gas, EPC, and mission-critical environmentsEngage with customers, vendors and internal teams to understand requirements and propose fit-for-purpose designsEnsure engineering quality before formal submission — design accuracy, compliance, pricing validation, and technical governanceStay updated on technologies across telecom, networking, and security systems; introduce innovative ideasTechnical Scope:You should have hands-on understanding of multiple systems such as:Telecom SystemsDWDM, SDH, OTN, Packet OpticalIP Networks (routing, switching, firewalls)Radio/TETRA, VHF/UHF, Microwave, PtP/PtMPSecurity & Smart InfrastructureCCTV, ACS, IDS/PIDS, PSIMPAGA, siren systemsStructured cabling, UPS & battery systemsToolsRadio coverage tools (e.g., ATDI, iBwave)SoundPlan or similar simulation toolsWhat You Bring:10–15 years’ experience in telecom/security systems engineering in Oil & Gas, O&G EPC, system integrators, or major industrial projectsStrong background in solution design + architecture for multi-system environmentsProven success leading/mentoring technical teamsExperience preparing and delivering complex bidsStrong costing, pricing, and BOQ/BOM creation skillsAbility to analyse tender specs and translate them into full solution designsExcellent client-facing communication and presentation skillsExperience with EPC contractors or telecom engineering groupsWho This Role SuitsTechnical Pre-Sales Managers, Telecom Design Leads, Solution Architects, Engineering Leads from O&G/EPC/system-integrator backgrounds who can manage teams, shape solutions, and deliver competitive bids under pressure.
