Senior Manual Tester

Industry: BankingLocation: hybrid model 3x/week in office (Warsaw/Gdańsk/Gdynia/Łódź)Remuneration: up to 120 zl/h net+vatType of contract: B2BDuration: Long-termIntroduction & Summary:We are seeking a Senior Manual Tester with extensive experience in software testing, particularly in REST API testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in manual testing methodologies, design and execution of test cases, and ensure adherence to quality standards within an agile framework. You will be a vital part of our team, collaborating across multiple regions to deliver exceptional solutions in response to customer needs.Main Responsibilities:Your core duty will be to lead QA efforts for our Agile Release Train in large-scale projects. Responsibilities include:Designing, developing, and executing test cases.Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects throughout the development lifecycle.Collaborating with developers, product owners, and other team members to clarify requirements.Verifying bug fixes and validating new features prior to release.Participating in sprint planning and retrospectives to enhance the QA process.Ensuring testing aligns with business requirements and customer expectations.Contributing to the development of testing standards and best practices.Key Requirements:Practical experience in manual testing of RESTful APIs.Hands-on proficiency with Swagger / OpenAPI for API exploration.Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or cURL.Good understanding of HTTP and REST principles, including relevant authentication mechanisms.Test design and analysis skills with the ability to derive scenarios from documents.Basic understanding of JSON and XML formats for data interpretation.Basic SQL knowledge for validating data correctness.More than 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 in REST API testing.General testing knowledge equivalent to the ISTQB Foundation Level.Experience with test management tools and Agile methodologies.Nice to Have:Basic knowledge of automated API testing tools.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.Experience in testing microservices-based architectures.System testing of modern UIs (Web/Mobile).
