DecisionPoint seeks a Senior Media Strategist to lead MC&FP’s enterprise Media Messaging Program. This senior role ensures that all message sets, talking points, leadership Q&As, communication updates, and crisis posture guidance are accurate, strategically aligned, and consistent across directorates and mission areas.The Senior Media Strategist provides authoritative guidance on message framing, narrative positioning, and communication alignment for high-visibility initiatives. This role works closely with senior leadership, O&E, PMO, and policy stakeholders to ensure messaging reflects mission priorities and is ready for both proactive communication and rapid-response needs.This position is fully remote. Note By applying to this position, you acknowledge and consent to having your resume included in an active competitive government contract bid.The Senior Media Strategist willLead development and governance of the enterprise Media Messaging Program. Oversee the creation, validation, and publication of message sets, talking points, Q&A documents, and narrative guidance. Ensure all messaging aligns with MC&FP strategy, leadership intent, and mission priorities. Provide strategic counsel to leadership on message framing, communication posture, and stakeholder sensitivities. Conduct message reviews for accuracy, clarity, tone, and risk awareness. Monitor emerging issues, policy shifts, or public dialogue to update or refine messaging proactively. Coordinate with O&E, PMO, and program teams to ensure message synchronization across all channels. Support rapid response communications during high-tempo or crisis scenarios. Maintain messaging repositories, version controls, and governance documentation. Conduct periodic message audits to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or outdated content. Provide training and guidance to staff on message discipline and alignment. Support integration of messaging into campaigns, publications, external engagements, and leadership briefs. Clearance RequirementCandidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher.Education (Required)Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, Public Relations, or a related field.Experience (Required)Minimum 10 years of experience in public affairs, media strategy, communications planning, or message development. Experience developing and governing enterprise message frameworks. Experience advising senior leaders on communication posture and strategic messaging. Experience supporting communications in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Technical Knowledge (Required)Strong understanding of media strategy, message architecture, and narrative development. Experience developing Q&A documents, talking points, and communication guidance. Familiarity with communication workflows in federal or large enterprise environments. Technical Knowledge (Preferred)Experience with DoD or federal program communications. Knowledge of crisis communication practices and rapid response messaging. SkillsExceptional writing, editing, and narrative development abilities. Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate complex topics into clear messaging. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, especially with senior leadership. Ability to manage high-volume, high-visibility communication priorities under tight deadlines. Strong organizational and governance skills for document control and versioning.
