If this sounds like you, and you are ready to take on a broad area of responsibilities, then you could be our new colleague.Your new positionAs a Senior Medical Information Manager, you will be the first dedicated hire for Medical Information at Zealand Pharma, shaping development of the function, processes, and tools from day one. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant information for healthcare professionals and patients across therapeutic areas, with a focus on US and European standards. This role offers the opportunity to establish best practices, develop training, and partner closely across the organization to scale the function effectively, while enabling actionable insights across Medical Affairs.We offer exciting responsibilities:Build the Medical Information function end to end, including processes, SOPs, templates, and quality standardsManage and resolve complex inquiries from healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and internal stakeholders in a compliant and timely manner (US/EU)Author, maintain, and approve standard response letters, FAQs, and global response guidance based on current evidenceDesign and deliver Medical Information training for internal stakeholders and affiliates; establish certification and refreshersImplement and maintain Medical Information (MI) systems and knowledge bases; track, code, and trend inquiries to generate actionable insightsPartner with Medical Affairs, Safety, Regulatory, and Quality to align on content, escalations, insights management, and inspection readinessYou would also be instrumental in leading the development of our insights capture and reporting processYour profileYou bring scientific rigor, clear and balanced communication, and a strong compliance mindset. You are hands-on, structured, and comfortable operating independently while collaborating broadly to build and scale a new capability. You can set direction, create pragmatic solutions, and advise stakeholders at all levels. Fluent English is required.Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or related field (e.g., MSc, PharmD) or equivalent experience — requiredMinimum 7+ years of Medical Information experience in pharma/biotech, ideally with both US and European exposure; experience establishing or scaling MI processes is an advantageStrong knowledge of US and European frameworks for Medical Information (e.g., FDA guidance on unsolicited requests; PhRMA and Medical Information Working Group (MIWG) best practices; EFPIA — European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations — and ABPI — Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry — codes)Demonstrated ability to appraise literature and create clear, balanced, and referenced scientific contentExperience driving insights management within Medical Affairs and translating insights into recommendations and actionsProficiency with MI platforms (e.g., inquiry/response databases, customer relationship management (CRM) tools) and documentation best practices; experience with dashboards/analytics tools is an advantageExcellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management and prioritizationYour new teamYou will join the Medical Affairs Operations team at Zealand Pharma, collaborating closely with colleagues across Medical Operations, Safety, Regulatory, and Commercial.
