If you're a SQL Server expert with a strong foundation in DR, performance tuning, and security — and are eager to explore tools like SSIS, Power BI, or future LLM-based innovations — we’d love to hear from you!Key ResponsibilitiesCore Database AdministrationInstall, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances across production and development environments.Perform regular health checks, audits, and updates to ensure data integrity and compliance.Develop and maintain HA/DR solutions (AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Clustering, etc.).Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and resource configuration.Implement and enforce database security policies, role-based access controls, and encryption.Backup and RecoveryDefine and manage backup strategies, recovery models, and scheduled jobs.Ensure regular testing of backup and restoration procedures.Monitoring and AutomationProactively monitor database availability, performance, and resource utilization.Automate routine tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, or third-party tools.Upgrades and MigrationsPlan and execute version upgrades and database migrations.Support integration with cloud environments (preferred: Azure SQL Managed Instance).Collaboration & SupportWork closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to support new and existing projects.Troubleshoot and resolve incidents on time, including after-hours when required.Document procedures, policies, and configurations.RequirementsMust-Have Technical Skills:4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server database administration.Deep understanding of HA/DR, performance tuning, and indexing strategies.Strong experience with backup/restore, job automation, and maintenance plans.Solid knowledge of database security and compliance best practices.Preferred Skills:Experience with Power BI or SSIS.Familiarity with Azure SQL or hybrid cloud environments.Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.Openness to learning modern data solutions, including LLM-powered tools.Understanding of data warehousing concepts (optional).Soft Skills:High attention to detail, especially in production environments.Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.Clear communication and documentation skills.Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.Professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required.What We OfferA mission-critical, high-impact role in a fast-paced retail environment.Room for technical and leadership growth.Stable, long-term career opportunity in a well-established company.Join Beit El Gomla and ensure our data backbone remains secure, fast, and rock-solid.
