We deliver AI-powered, proactive IT support and infrastructure management that keeps our clients operating seamlessly.We’re now seeking a Business Unit Leader – Networking to head up our S2 Department, which is responsible for all networking, firewall, WiFi, and internet solutions across our client base.This is a hybrid technical and leadership role — perfect for a seasoned network professional ready to lead a team, drive operational excellence, and take ownership of a critical business unit within a fast-growing MSP.What You’ll DoLead the Networking Unit (S2) — managing engineers, prioritizing workloads, and ensuring SLA-driven delivery.Design, implement, and optimize complex network infrastructures (LAN/WAN, WiFi, Firewalls, Internet).Oversee client environments for uptime, redundancy, performance, and security — targeting 99.9%+ availability.Own client relationships for all networking-related services — including onsite visits, reviews, and technical consultations.Collaborate cross-functionally with the Server, Cloud, and Support Units to ensure seamless IT delivery.Enforce compliance and best practices in cybersecurity, documentation, and change management.Drive performance and accountability through reporting, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.Mentor and develop your team, ensuring professional growth and technical excellence.What We’re Looking For5+ years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering, with proven leadership or team management exposure.Deep technical understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols, and firewall technologies.Proficiency with MikroTik, FortiGate, Cisco, and Ubiquiti network environments.Experience using network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., LibreNMS, FortiCloud, UniFi Controller).Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, FortiGate Administrator, CompTIA Network+/Security+) are a strong plus.Excellent communication, client engagement, and problem-solving skills.Must reside in the Greater Cape Town Area, with a valid driver’s license and own vehicle (onsite client visits required).Why Join Ello Technology?Lead your own Business Unit within a decentralized, performance-driven organization.Work directly with leadership to shape strategy, process, and client outcomes.Stay close to the tech you love while building a high-performing team.Ongoing opportunities for training, certifications, and professional growth.A culture built on trust, innovation, and accountability.How to ApplyIf you’re a networking expert and natural leader ready to take ownership of a business unit and drive client success, Send your CV to gabriel@ello.co.za
