Key responsibilities of this role include oversight and editorial responsibility for our online news platform, Newsline, producing engaging, informative and timely content for our residents using a variety of channels, and assisting the News and Media Manager to provide advice regarding the organisation's mainstream media enquiries. This role also involves finding and researching newsworthy opportunities for use on a variety of channels.About you | Ko Koe TēneiThis is your chance to be involved in a fast-paced news and media team. You will be a team player who can naturally adapt and quickly turn your hand to different things. Reporting to the News and Media Manager, as the Senior News and Media Advisor you will be required to be the second-in-charge for the team and able to be good at building relationships across the organisation, with elected members and external key stakeholders.To be successful you will be tertiary qualified in either Journalism, or related field with significant experience within a media environment. You will have good writing and editing skills, particularly in the digital forum and have good strategic content management skills, including how to leverage customer insight and data. You will have exceptional communication skills, a collaborative approach and have the ability to plan and self-manage your work with ease.What's in it for you?
