Role SummaryThe Senior Officer – Vendor Management plays a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s supplier ecosystem through effective governance, relationship management, and performance optimization. The position oversees end-to-end vendor lifecycle processes — from supplier registration, onboarding, and qualification to performance evaluation and compliance monitoring.This role ensures that all suppliers meet registration requirements, ethical standards, and quality expectations, thereby supporting the organization’s strategic sourcing and procurement efficiency objectives. Acting as a subject matter expert in supplier management systems and compliance processes, the Senior Officer also maintains the integrity of vendor master data, mentors junior team members, and supports ongoing digitalization and process improvement initiatives.Major Areas of ResponsibilityVendor Lifecycle ManagementSupplier Relationship and Performance ManagementGovernance, Compliance, and Audit CoordinationReporting, Analysis, and System AdministrationStrategic and Operational SupportContinuous Improvement and Cross-Functional CollaborationTechnical CompetenciesStrong understanding of vendor lifecycle processes and supplier evaluation frameworks.Proficiency in ERP systems, supplier databases, and performance monitoring tools.Excellent command of Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysissoftware.Ability to design and interpret supplier KPIs, scorecards, and audit trails.Knowledge of procurement laws, ethical sourcing standards, and contract compliance.Behavioural CompetenciesHigh degree of ethics and integrity in managing vendor relationships.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for stakeholder engagement.Collaborative mindset with leadership potential to guide and mentor others.Proactive approach to identifying and resolving supplier and process challenges.Education and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.Master’s degree or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and operational excellence.ExperienceMinimum of 4 years of progressive experience in vendor management and supplier governance.Demonstrated experience in managing vendor evaluation, onboarding, and performance improvement processes.Hands-on experience working with ERP systems (preferably Oracle Fusion) and supplier management portals.Proven track record in supporting procurement audits, compliance reviews, and process optimization initiatives.Exposure to data-driven decision-making, supplier risk assessment, and supplier engagement frameworks.At Abu Dhabi Airports, we are shaping the future of aviation in the region.
