This role is for an exceptional accounting professional who understands U.S. accounting, payroll systems, and QuickBooks Online, and can confidently manage multiple client accounts across time zones.Position OverviewThe Senior Payroll & AP/AR Specialist (U.S. Clients) will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, vendor payments, and client invoicing for multiple U.S.-based clients. You’ll collaborate directly with U.S. accountants, CFOs, and business owners to ensure all financial operations are accurate, compliant, and delivered on schedule.This is a fully onsite position in our Lagos office.Key ResponsibilitiesManage U.S. client payroll processing (weekly, biweekly, and monthly) including wage calculations, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions.Reconcile payroll reports and ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state payroll regulations.Process Accounts Payable: manage vendor bills, approvals, and electronic payments.Handle Accounts Receivable: prepare and send invoices, apply payments, and manage client A/R aging schedules.Maintain accurate client books in QuickBooks Online; perform monthly reconciliations for bank, credit card, and loan accounts.Generate client-ready financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).Coordinate with U.S.-based teams to ensure accuracy of general ledger entries and timely month-end closing.Implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.Communicate proactively with clients to resolve discrepancies or inquiries.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of accounting experience (at least 2 years supporting U.S. clients preferred).Proven mastery of QuickBooks Online (QBO) — certification strongly preferred.In-depth knowledge of U.S. payroll, AP, and AR workflows.Experience using cloud-based accounting tools (e.g., Bill.com, Gusto, ADP, Dext, or similar).Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.Strong communication skills (written and verbal).Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities effectively.Preferred ExperiencePrior experience working for a U.S.-based CPA or accounting outsourcing firm.Familiarity with U.S. tax reporting cycles (W-2, 1099, Form 941, etc.).Working knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity accounting.Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range: ₦300,000 – ₦400,000 per month (based on experience and certification).Health insurance, pension, and performance incentives.Career growth in a global advisory environment.Continuous professional development (QuickBooks, Gusto, U.S. payroll training, etc.).Work ScheduleFully Onsite – Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Lagos Time)Collaborates across U.S. Eastern and Central Time Zones.Office Address: #5 Ogunsiji Close, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos
