Senior Piping & Materials Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Piping & Materials Engineer to define piping material classes and specifications, lead package/material selection and procurement engineering, and ensure safe, reliable, and compliant designs are delivered on time, on budget, and to standard across offshore EPC projects.What you’ll do:Define materials, ratings, corrosion/erosion allowances, coatings/insulation per codes, project specs, and regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain piping material classes, line specs, valve/special-item datasheets.Plan and deliver discipline scope to schedule/budget; manage interfaces with Process, Piping Layout, E&I, Safety, QA/QC, and Construction.Lead technical bid evaluations, resolve deviations, and support package/Vendor management through FAT/ITP/NCR/waivers.Act as Package Engineer when assigned; oversee design, procurement, manufacturing/inspection, and documentation for material packages.Apply lessons learned and standardisation to improve cost, reliability, and constructability.Support 3D model/line list reviews, MTOs, requisitions, and site/pre-commissioning queries.Guide engineers and (where assigned) act as Discipline Lead for defined scopes.What you’ll bring:Engineering degree (Mechanical/Materials or related).5–10 years of piping materials experience in oil & gas/EPC.Strong command of ASME B31.3 (and B31.1 as applicable), ASTM/API/ISO material standards; familiarity with PED/pressure equipment rules.Proven experience creating/managing piping material classes and valve/special-item specs; corrosion/materials selection (including sour service CO₂/H₂S per NACE MR0175/ISO 15156).Comfortable with technical bid evaluations, package engineering/manufacturing, and materials QA/QC workflows.Able to plan work, manage interfaces, and deliver to cost/schedule/quality targets; clear communicator and collaborator.For more information, reach out to Anshika Singh Bais at a.singhbais@bennetboss.com
