We place them at the heart of what we do, providing challenging opportunities to develop within a great team in a supportive environment that allows them to reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities Of The RoleResponsible for a project or portfolio of projects (regional / sectoral)Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOPReporting to Planning DepartmentReporting to Business Unit / Project ManagementDeveloping and maintaining schedules for pre-construction / construction / commissioningDeveloping and maintaining progress databasesProgress reportingMilestone projections, delay / float path analysisEarned Value Management systemsMonitoring schedule performance and productivityAuditing progress on siteAttending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractorsPreparation of tender schedulesPreparation of histogramsLeading planning meetingsSupporting weekly workface planning systemsResource / cash loading of schedulesProviding data for payment applicationsCompleting contract review reportsResponsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reportsMaking relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutionsRecording delay and disruptionAssisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputesTravelling to projects in order to carry out the above, if requiredManaging, training, coaching, supporting, developing, leading staff, if requiredCovering Planning Manager responsibilities when requiredCovering Project Planner responsibilities when requiredAll other duties associated with roleEssential Criteria For The RoleRelevant 3rd level degree in and Engineering/ Construction Management subject5-10 years experience at Project/ Senior Planner on large plants/ industrial projectsProven track record in planning large projects on an industrial scaleExperience in datacentres would be a distinct advantage but not essentialRelevant planning software working knowledgeExcellent organisational skillsExcellent communication skillsMercury is an equal opportunities employer.Apply Now
