You'll be supported to do meaningful work that has a real impact every dayMō te Tūranga | About the roleShape ASB's integration ecosystem as a senior technical leader in our Modern Integration Platform Engineering Squad.As a Senior Platform Engineer (Software Consultant), You WillDesign and deliver complex software solutionsLead solution architecture and platform ownershipCollaborate across squads and with product owners, engineers, and architectsBuild SDKs, maintain event brokers, and mentor engineersInfluence the quality and resilience of ASB's technology stackThis Level 4 role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, enjoys coaching others, and wants to drive technical excellence without formal people leadership responsibilities.Ō Pūkenga | About youWe'll value your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and leadership skills as we look for every engineer to lead from their position.With regards to background, the following capabilities are a must:10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure.Expertise in Confluent Kafka (topics, partitions, replication, schema registry, ksqlDB, connectors, etc.).Strong experience with DataStax Cassandra/AstraDB (data modeling, replication strategies, tuning, etc.).Hands-on experience in IaC (e.g.: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Helm).Strong coding/scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash for automation.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), particularly in networking, security, and cost optimization.Deep understanding of SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident response, and chaos engineering).Experience in monitoring and logging tools (e.g.: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK).Experienced working with Github Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and a proactive mindset.Good to have - Two relevant certifications in Confluent Kafka, DataStax Cassandra or Advanced certifications in Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).Te mahi ki ASB | Working for ASBASB's sense of who we are and what we stand for is grounded in our values.
